Savica Waterfall is the most popular waterfall in Slovenia. This waterfall runs a length of 38 meters and falls about 51 meters deep. Kranjska Gora is a great place for activities such as horsemanship, cycling and fishing. Lake Bled is one of the major Slovenia tourist destinations. It is known for a neo-gothic Parish Church and luxurious Bled Castle. This place is home to thermal springs, golf courses and casino.
Triglav National Park is Slovenia’s only national park. This national park covers an area of 83000 hectares and has many spectacular scenic views. It is also referred to as the “land of paradise”.Nature lovers have a lot to explore in these Slovenia tourist destinations.
Various meat dishes are served in Slovenia, particularly two specialties; sausages and salamis, and prosciutto (air-dried pork from Karst region customary served with a ruby-red wine called “teran”). The common meat soups of Slovenia are beef and chicken soups, and non-meat soup is the plain and lean turnip peel soup. Dried stockfish is a popular meal prepared for Christmas.
